2 years

Today is our 2nd Anniversary. Will someone please tell me where those 2 years went? I'm still trying to find them. There were a lot of nights spent apart, me on the road or Sam in the combine/planter/sprayer - it feels like we are finally starting to get the hang of being together most nights! God has blessed us so much in the last 2 years I can't help but thank Him and give Him the glory! For starters, we bought an acreage, moved to the Brookings area, both started new jobs, and now we have a baby on the way - crazy! I'm thankful for each day I get to spend with my best friend. I'd say we make a pretty good team. We celebrated our 2 years of wedded bliss by heading to Duluth, MN for a vacation/babymoon. It was awesome to get away from our normal craziness and spend intentional time together. We laughed a lot - it's one of my favorite things to do!

And here is a small recap of our weekend to Duluth. As you will see, Sam takes most of the pictures on our trips. He has a good eye for photography. On the way to St Cloud - where we stayed the first night - we had to check the corn in Corona. This is the point in the trip where I wondered if I had married my dad. My dad always takes the back roads and checks the crops. I didn't mind because I was just along for the ride. The ears were big, but will the freeze hurt them? Only time will tell....


Here is the view from our Mt Villa - where we stayed our first night in Duluth. It overlooked the city and Lake Superior. It was a beautiful sunrise, as I was still on the wake up at 6 am schedule. Check out the fog over the Great Lake:
