31 minutes 22 seconds

Well, baby - we survived the 5k. I'm not going to lie, I was not looking forward to this race. I signed up before I knew I was pregnant, and since finding out running just hasn't been the same. A few morning icky feelings and I just felt like I couldn't get my rhythm down. I still wanted to do it though, even if I had to stop a few times along the way. Well, I'm so proud to report that we did it with no stops! Which is always my goal. My other goal is to get under 30 minutes. Although that didn't happen, I'm still proud that we did it - at a 10 minute mile pace.

During the race, I couldn't help but wonder what that was feeling like for you. Do you enjoy bouncing around as the blood pulses through momma's body faster than normal? Maybe someday you will be a runner all because of this! Who knows!?

Your Aunt Jessica also ran the race and was way ahead of me. She is a better runner and I'm proud that we got out and did it! We both were secretly hoping the other would bail so we wouldn't have to run it - but we are two stubborn gals!

After the race your dad and Uncle Casey were cutting down some low tree branches so I helped with that. Then I made dinner for them and your little cousin Noah. I went to the Arts Festival for a bit because Bella gave me some money for a Rebekah Scott Designs purse. It was fun to pick it out but the 85 degree heat was enough to tire a girl out after an hour. I saw baby McKena too - she's about three weeks old and it made me long for the day I can cradle you. Oh, it seems like forever away, but I know it will be here before I know it and our life will change forever!

Your dad and I prayed last night that you are developing right on schedule and that you enter the world a happy healthy baby! Oh, and daddy thinks he's got a named picked out for you if you're of the male gender - it's cute but I've still got to think about it more!
